About TypingTest.club
TypingTest.club is a free website where you can find out how fast you type. Earn certificates, climb the global leaderboard, and practise in your own language.
Why TypingTest.club?
Most typing websites are made for English speakers — and that's it. We built TypingTest.club so everyone can test their speed in their own language: Spanish, French, Arabic, Thai, Latvian, and many more. We use CPM (characters per minute) so results are fair across all languages, because some languages use longer words than others.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is WPM?
- WPM stands for "words per minute." To calculate it, we count every character you type, divide by 5 (an average word is about 5 characters), then divide again by how many minutes you spent typing. So if you typed 300 characters in one minute, that is 300 ÷ 5 ÷ 1 = 60 WPM.
- What is the difference between Gross WPM and Net WPM?
- Gross WPM counts every key you press, including mistakes. Net WPM is your real score — it takes your Gross WPM and subtracts a penalty for every mistake you did not fix: Net WPM = Gross WPM − (unfixed errors ÷ minutes). Every error you leave in lowers your final number.
- Why does TypingTest.club use Net WPM?
- Net WPM is the standard used in professional typing tests all over the world. It treats speed and accuracy as equally important — typing 80 WPM with no mistakes is a much better result than 80 WPM with several errors left in.
- What is Accuracy?
- Accuracy is the percentage of characters you typed correctly. It is calculated from all keystrokes — including errors you corrected with Backspace. A typo you fix still counts against your accuracy, so aim to type precisely from the start. Certification tests require at least 95% accuracy.
- What is Consistency?
- Consistency measures how even your typing pace was throughout the test. A score of 100% would mean you typed at exactly the same speed from beginning to end. In practice, anything above 80% is solid. High consistency means you have a stable rhythm — you did not start fast then slow down, or type in bursts with long pauses between them.
